Our innovation policy

At the core of the Sora Composites strategy, our innovation policy meets the manufacturers' new requirements in terms of lightweight vehicles, a true challenge for the years to come.

This strategic direction allows us to provide manufacturers with increasingly efficient solutions in order to reduce their CO2 emissions and increase the autonomy of electric vehicles, while taking into account the life cycle and use of recycled materials.

Backed by more than 30 years experience in composite materials, we have defined 3 main innovation axes :

• Development of structural parts, automotive chassis, meeting the requirements of large and medium series while controlling manufacturing costs.

• Development of low-cost materials (industrial carbon fibre – recyclable thermoplastic resin)

• Lightweight body parts with tight dimensional tolerances (thickness 1 mm – density 1.2)

We also take into account the service and logistics aspects in order to provide our customers with complete functions and painted parts.

To successfully conduct this innovation policy, Sora Composites created an industrial Research and Development cluster composed of scientists, research laboratories such as CEMCAT, industrial and university partners (ESTACA) in order to control the new product development chain from start to finish.
